The highest decision-making body of African National Congress (ANC), the only ruling party since South Africa’s post-apartheid era, has officially sacked President Jacob Zuma from office.

According to reports, the sack letter was delivered by ANC’s General Secretary, Ace Magashule and the Deputy General Secretary of the Party, Jessie Duarte on Tuesday morning after a 90-minute stay at the Official residence of President Zuma in Pretoria.
The decision was taken after the ANC held a marathon meeting on Monday that spanned into the wee hours of Tuesday.
According to the report, the party will address a press conference on Tuesday concerning its decision to axe President Zuma from office.
